Paperless Post have teamed up on an interactive installation, ‘Connected by Pattern’

The London Collection’ by David Collins Studio and Italian manufacturerCustomisation is key in today’s market, a fact well known by Scandi design brand Hem. Aside from launching its pop-up shop in Covent Garden, the online retailer has teamed up with Italian designer Luca Nichetto to create the Alphabet lamp. Spun-steel shades in all sorts of shapes and shades can be digitally tailored to create your own unique lighting fixture.
 Another Country is embracing its roots this week with the new ‘Dorset Series,’ celebrating the British company’s fifth birthday on show at its Marylebone space. Included in this collection is the ‘Jurassic Light 117’ by Paris-based Studio Dessuant Bone, which has taken inspiration from the age-old Jurassic Coast’s Durdle Door, a rocky seaside archway existing in the south west county. Made using natural Portland stone – a limestone from the area- its solid cylinder shape is minimalist yet intricately textured to compliment the brass light ejected from it‘Superloon’ may have been unveiled at Salone del Mobile earlier this year, but Jasper Morrison’s lunar fixture for Flos, the Italian lighting company, made its London debut during LDF. The flat disc light uses edge-lit LED technology to light up the room (or nostalgically dim it, whatever takes your fancy.) Photography: Frank Huelsboeme
